Textile Design, Product Development & Illustration
I am an enthusiastic textile designer with a diverse creative journey that spans various aspects of the industry. Over the years, my explorations with textiles has allowed me to design, create, and successfully market four distinct home goods collections, which have been showcased in more than 15 stores worldwide. Collaborations with prestigious companies in both the apparel and home goods sectors have not only broadened my knowledge of operations and production. These experiences have also helped me hone my skills in knit and crochet pattern creation, surface design, and textile experimentation. I've delved into textile development, exhibited my work in galleries across New York and Mexico City, and embraced the principles of sustainable upcycling. My passion for illustration has led me to master Adobe Illustrator and Procreate, enabling me to infuse my designs with unique and captivating visuals. With an unwavering commitment to bringing my imaginative illustrations to life, my work is a true labor of love.
BAGGU x URFS
Here is a imagined creative collaboration between UR Fancy Shop and Baggu, where I drew inspiration from the store's design and my own creative direction. I then translated these concepts into three distinct repeat textile prints for application on various products.
Areaware x Ugly Rugly
An imaginative partnership between Areaware and Ugly Rugly, aiming to infuse our unique and dynamic textile into the collaboration. We've reinterpreted the art of rope coiling in fresh, innovative ways to cater to a broader mass market audience.

Print and Pattern Design
These are various prints and patterns that I've made for Ugly Rugly and for freelance contracts.
Casa Nuevo
These pieces were created for an exhibition launched in November within the historical heart of Mexico City, CASA NUEVA is more than just an art and design gallery; it's a living space where art meets functionality. The inaugural exhibition, "NEW SOLID," marks the brainchild of New York-based designers River Valadez and Sebastián Arroyo Hoebens. CASA NUEVA's vision blurs the lines between an exhibition space and a place of dwelling, redefining the concept of art in action. These twin rugs draw their inspiration from the vibrant colors, shapes, and layers of the floating gardens of Xochimilco and Chinampas, both during the day and at night - entitled "Chinampas Dia y Noche"
Scrapfetti
Scrapfetti represents a venture into textile innovation, harnessing the potential of small fabric scraps often discarded in sewing production. By artfully layering these remnants in random, yet aesthetically pleasing patterns, we craft a utilitarian and durable textile while simultaneously reducing waste that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Artwork and Custom Pieces
Kindly see a small collection of the vast amount of unique rugs created for Ugly Rugly. These pieces were tufted, finished with rope coiling, and fully finished by Cole Hansen and I.
Rug Repair and Customization
I crafted this rug for a private client who had received a hand-hooked rug created by a departed relative. The rug had languished in a basement and required some restoration and final touches. Our client engaged our services to restore the rug, introduce rope for embellishment and finishing, and complete the backing of the piece. Providing her with a keepsake that will last a lifetime.
