FASHION & TEXTILE EDUCATOR
I'm an educator, specializing in fashion design and sewing, and I'm truly passionate about sharing my expertise with others. Teaching is my calling because it's a platform where I can inspire the new makers, nurture unique talents, and witness the growth of my students. The diversity of each day, building relationships, and fostering creativity make it an incredibly fulfilling journey. My teaching experience spans across teens, adults, and seniors, covering all skill levels. I've even had the pleasure of tutoring fashion design students. From sewing to pattern making, apparel design, crochet, knitting, embroidery, and macrame, I've embraced the wonderful world of creativity and education. Teaching in the heart of NYC's garment district and hosting my own classes has been a remarkable experience, including collaborations with fellow artists who excel in their respective fields. It's a rewarding path that allows me to continually be surprised and delighted by the innovative ideas my students bring to the table.
The New York Sewing Center
Taught a diverse variety of classes and age groups, leading classes of up to 15 students. Classes range from beginner sewing to advanced classes such as coats, evening wear. Tutoring for aspiring fashion designers. I’ve helped young designers design and develop patterns for first samples and provided guidance on construction methods, manufacturing, and tech packs. Comfortable teaching via Zoom.
UR Fancy Shop Education Programming
I orchestrate the creation of our class programming, often teaching classes myself or collaborating with expert artists in their respective fields. I design, create the syllabus, create the samples, and teach most of the classes. I also collaborate with artists on projects, help them construct and teach a class in our space.
